Sammy’s stash is growing
… unfortunately a lot slower than he is, however once we get a design right the rest should follow quicker.
This afternoon, I went to visit mum to make nappy 5 and 6.
We are still working on the pattern changes especially as sammy has grown a lot. We included the gusset design that we worked with on the last nappy.
Besides adding an extra leak barrier, the gussets nicely hold a soaker pad in. The nappy on the left has the soaker in. I was pretty happy with my new sewing machine. I brought some bamboo and fleece home to make the soaker. It overlocked stitched 3 bamboo layers and a fleece layer without a hitch. I might try more later.
Charlie bear is way too small to show the nappy off but Sammy couldn’t come visit 
Throughout the week, I made another sleeping bag. I hate zips and would be happy never to make anything with one again! However my bias tape skills are getting better and I’m pretty proud of how even the edges are.

for someone who hates doing zips, looks to me like you’re doing a brilliant job!

I had to unpick one side of the 75cm zip. It took longer to unpick the zip than to sew the whole thing
It will teach me for not checking everything completely before sewing.
